You lookin at me?

There are many little lizards (geckos?) around. Many years ago when I was in the service I was stationed on a little island in the South Pacific - Minami-Tori- Shima (look that up.) You quickly learned to let a lizard live in your room in the barracks. They're harmless and they feed on the insects which were not so harmless. After I saw some spiders that had cut biceps like Mr. World, cohabitation with a lizard was an acceptable alternative. Here in France, these little guys are everywhere. Personally, because of my experience on the island ,I like them. My wife does not share my enthusiasm.

Don't think that's a gecko, although geckos are nice to have; a pair moved into my kitchen in Texas and suddenly cockroaches, which are uncontrollable in a climate like that, became an endangered species. We also had anoles, which are often called "chameleons" although they're not true chameleons, but do change their color when frightened. Fastest I ever saw one change was when the neighborhood's lesbian bagpiper started practicing.

I was reading your comment and I did an old "Danny Thomas spit take" when I got to the end.

I think I got the point. If I ever have anoles . . I will keep them away from lesbian bagpipers.

Thanks Ed

What?. . .I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention.
